Jacob has been known as JB since before he was born. At one midwife's appointment, Abigail was told that he was the size of a jelly bean. Mike coined the name "JB" (for Jelly Bean) in text messages to Abie, and it stuck! Whether he was deliberately given the middle name Ben to ensure the monicker could continue is uncertain!
